- 1/2 pint rice (uncooked)
- 1/2 pint milk
- 1/2 pint water
- 1 egg beaten
- 4 tablespoons syrup
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
- 1/2 pint raisins
- 1/2 cup ground liver
- 2 tablespoons fat or drippings (butter will do)
- melted butter
- Cook rice in milk and water until soft but not mushy then drain and cool.
- Fry onion in fat or drippings until tender but not brown.
- Combine all ingredients then bake in a greased casserole in a moderate oven for 1 hour.
- Serve with melted butter.
