So I posted a warning that I was going to be working on my art some more. Well I have been! But the two pieces I have in process aren’t ready to share yet but I thought I would share this older one. Eventually I will get around to adding a background and maybe doing a bit of tinkering with it.

Is there such a thing as Role Play Etiquette? Certainly there is! It may not be so obviously called that but you can usually tell when someone is breaking it. How can you tell? By listening carefully to what others say.

I’m going to try touching on the subject of RP Etiquette. Mind you there are hundreds and hundreds of RP pet peeves that individual RPers might have that I certainly can’t cover, but I will try to cover some of the most common ones. I will also discuss how to know if you’re breaking RP etiquette and possible alternatives or solutions to such behavior. Making role play fun for everyone is the goal. So let’s work towards that goal together.

Anna!! My very first comment by a blogger still blogging, and actually my very first comment ever! Read her comment HERE. Through my whole blogging experience (even though I’m not as dedicated to it as I should be and perhaps a little scattery in the way I post and what I post) she’s been a great supporter and really nifty friend. Many times her Dear… posts brought me the giggle I needed on a sour day or her informative posts gave me that little tidbit of info I was looking for. Sometimes she even gives me giggles over Gtalk while I’m slaving away at work. Thanks Anna.

So until yesterday I hadn’t posted in over a month. Yes, because of stress and other commitments sometimes the blog gets shoved aside for large stretches of time. I don’t expect that to change much. As a matter of fact, it may get worse.

I have decided to get back into art. I have always loved drawing and have had to repeatedly shove it aside to pay the bills. I’ve decided I’m tired of sacrificing what I love. I am going to get back into my art and bust my backside to turn it into something more.

This is an article I’ve been kicking around for a while and my friends have been nagging me to write something for the blog so I thought I’d drag this topic out and dust it off.

Romance In RP

Now before you start to point and snicker, muttering about “cyborz”, notice the title is ROMANCE, not ERP. That is another topic for another day. Romance can cover a wide range of emotional depth from the friends that exchange flowers on occasion to full fledged lovers or marrieds. Role playing romance DOES NOT mean cyber just like reading a book that has romantic elements does not mean reading porn.

Megaly,

I reported to work this morning, thinking nothing different of the day. Little did I know the Lich King would be sending his minions today! The docks were repeatedly attacked by undead dragons and lumbering undead…organ donors. I’m okay and hope to see you soon.

Megaly stumbled back to the apartment in Stormwind after finally being released from her “duties” watching over a certain spoiled aristo wench. She wanted to know what the girl’s father thought she needed “protecting” from. Maybe from the ire of her last bodyguard… or anyone else that had met her for that matter. Meg was definitely looking forward to a long, relaxing night with Garilos.

Megaly woke slowly to the rising noise of traffic through the cobbled Stormwind street outside the window of the small apartment. She could see the soft glow of false dawn just starting through the gaps in the curtain. She stretched and started to go over in her mind the work of the day. Next to her she felt Garilos begin to stir as well. She smiled contently and gave him a light kiss before sitting up in the small bed.

Life still sucks. When you think things might be getting better something kicks you in the head to remind you that you are deluding yourself.

That being said, I haven’t been around much lately, in game or on the blog. Not likely that I will be. Things are going pretty awful right now.
