Dear Catilda,

I am currently the leader of an organization dedicated to bringing peace to Azeroth.  Yeah, I know, it probably sounds kinda crazy.  But bear with me here!

I didn’t used to be the leader.  The leader was this warlock guy– very intelligent fellow, he pretended to be senile to keep all the bloody kids off his proverbial lawn (but that’s just between you and me), but recently he decided to retire and head off to Dustwallow Marsh of all places, and in his stead, he placed me.

There is one small problem: I am horrible at this.  People keep coming to me with their problems, asking me for ideas and what we’re going to do next, and the worst part is, they make me do crazy things like stand at the top of the cathedral steps and act all lordly.  That is not me!  I like to drink booze and shoot things in the face with my gun.  I feel so out of place!  Please tell me, what does one do in a situation like this?  Run away?  Accept their fate?  Drink it all away into oblivion?

…that last option actually sounds kind of appealing…

Sincerely,
Scared in Stormwind

P.S. Please tell me your favorite type of alcoholic beverage and where I can obtain some.

Dear Scared,

It seems to Catilda that the solution is simple; Step down from the position and pass the responsibility on to someone else. However you could be shouldering the burden because it was entrusted to you. Somebody, or perhaps several somebodys, believe you are more capable of doing it than you do.

Fear not! Catilda has the answer!

Many great leaders through history did not manage their duties on their own. It is not uncommon for a leader to surround themself with a council of wise advisors. Perhaps pick a few from within the organization and put together a group of such to help you make the decisions that affect the whole. There will always be some things that fall squarely on your shoulders. This is to be expected. And they will not always be pleasant, however by involving others in the day-to-day decision making, you can lighten the stressful burden upon yourself.

And before they stand you upon the steps of the Cathedral and expect you to be lordly, perhaps a few nips off the old flask will help take the edge off.

My preference is sweet elven wine, however for your situation I would recommend Cherry Grog (conveniently available at Bruuk’s in Ironforge) or Darkmoon Special Reserve (only available from the Darkmoon Faire).

Should taking the edge off not suffice, wait until the lordly event is over, then drink yourself into oblivion.
