So until yesterday I hadn’t posted in over a month. Yes, because of stress and other commitments sometimes the blog gets shoved aside for large stretches of time. I don’t expect that to change much. As a matter of fact, it may get worse.
I have decided to get back into art. I have always loved drawing and have had to repeatedly shove it aside to pay the bills. I’ve decided I’m tired of sacrificing what I love. I am going to get back into my art and bust my backside to turn it into something more.
Here is where I need help. I need ideas. I need things to draw, create, color, model. I can make up stuff in my head all day long but I would like to be able to draw on what other people see in there heads. Do you have a picture you’d like to see done? A character you want drawn? Do you have a picture in your head that you can’t seem to create? Let me try.
Either post your idea in a comment here or email it to me using the contact form on my blog and I will try to create it for you. It will be good practice for me and you may get a lovely picture out of it! I cannot guarantee a delivery date on anything; my speed simply isn’t where it needs to be yet. Neither is my skill. I cannot guarantee I will use every idea that is submitted. I’ll try to do up as many as I can though. If I use your idea I will send you notification that I have started it. When I complete it (or if by some chance it becomes painfully obvious that I am not capable of completing it) you will receive a full-sized copy of it in it’s finished state (or in whatever state it is when I decide I am not able to do it). I don’t do paper copies. Everything I do is done directly to electronic form so that is what you will receive. I will retain rights to use the piece in my portfolio or for other purposes as I see fit, up to and including offering prints for sale to help fund my educational resources. But don’t worry, I’m not going to tell anyone you can’t post it in your blog or on your personal website. That wouldn’t be very nice of me.
So if you would like for me to try to do a picture of your idea, send it on and I’ll give it a shot!

Picture it…Bruuk’s tavern…Hugnir and Randiriel (perhaps in cat form) and Kanammer splayed across a table, mostly out of commission, but one arm still raised with a tankard in hand for each of them (if Randi’s catlike, then upside-down, paws up with a tankard balanced on her belly ON the table, a dwarf on either side). A caption near the bottom reads, “An LV wipe, Bruuk style.” Merlinne is leaning against the doorway, trying to maintain a scowl and failing as her mouth starts to curve upward in a smile.

I still don’t know which ones I’m going to do yet. After I’ve finished putting my compter through the relocation process (to a quieter room in the house) I’ll start assembling a list of requests, things I know I need to practice, and techniques I’d like to try then I’ll likely be grabbing things off that list at random. So if you don’t hear from me right away, it doesn’t necessarily mean I’ve decided not to do it. It just means I’m working on something and may still get around to it later.
I’ll be sure to post stuff as I finish it too.
I meant to chat to you in-game or gtalk but just could not get the time recently…so a comment here will have to suffice for the time being. I was thinking more about Meg and Gar. Maybe a picture of them enjoying the sunset from a rooftop in Booty Bay or how about them carousing in a tavern in Stormwind or Valgarde Keep?

I actually got some free time to draw last night. I’ve started a picture of Ebs and Grizz though it is still in the blue line stage. I’m hoping to have more time to work on it over the weekend (once the holiday madness is over!).
